Restore Both Form & Function

The Benefits of Restorative Care

At The Grove Family Dental, our doctors focus on restoring both the form and function of your smile with expert restorative care. Not only will you be able to eat, chew and speak normally, but your smile will look completely natural. Whether you have a damaged or missing tooth, we’ll help repair your smile and your bite.

Another benefit of early intervention with restorative care is that it helps you save time and money by preventing further complications, such as a cavity becoming infected, or a missing tooth causing the surrounding teeth to shift.

Treat Cavities

Tooth-Colored Fillings

At our office, we exclusively use tooth-colored, composite fillings to treat cavities, rather than metal amalgam fillings. Amalgam fillings may be slightly more affordable, but they have fewer benefits compared to composite fillings. Composite fillings look more natural and seamless, since they match the color of your teeth.

Not only that, but they usually require less tooth preparation, which means the process of placing the filling is less invasive. Because less enamel will need to be removed and the composite resin will form a tight bond to your natural enamel, your tooth will remain healthy and strong after it has been filled.

Restore Infected Teeth

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is the best way to treat an infected tooth. If your tooth is infected, it can cause you serious pain and discomfort. If an infection is left untreated, the tooth will eventually die and require extraction and replacement. Tooth infections occur when a cavity or oral injury destroys the outer layers of tooth material, exposing the “pulp” inside your tooth to bacteria.

A root canal is used to open up the tooth, extract the infected material from the inside, and then fill and protect the tooth to restore it, and prevent any further complications. This provides you with relief from the pain of your toothache, and keeps your smile strong for years to come. We offer both anterior (front) and posterior (rear) root canals at our office.

Cover & Protect Damaged Teeth

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are usually used to restore broken teeth, repair large cavities, and to cover up teeth after root canal therapy. They are designed to completely cover up your tooth and replace it all the way down to the gum line. Our lab-made porcelain crowns look and feel just like a real tooth, and they are built to be strong and durable, providing superior cosmetic and functional results. Don't hesitate to stop by our office located at 10043 Bruceville Road,
Unit 160 Elk Grove, CA 95757.

Replace Missing Teeth

Dentures

Partial dentures are an affordable way to restore your smile if you’re missing just a few teeth. They use a metal and plastic framework that clips to your remaining healthy teeth, with false teeth that fill in the gaps in your smile.

If you are missing most or all of your teeth due to a serious oral injury, advanced gum disease, or extensive tooth decay, full dentures may be a good option. Full dentures fit over your gums and require the extraction of any remaining teeth. With a set of full dentures, you can completely restore your smile in just a few weeks.
