What Is ClearCorrect?

Understanding the Basics

ClearCorrect is a virtually invisible method of straightening teeth. Similar to Invisalign, it uses a series of clear plastic aligners to gently shift your teeth into the proper position. These aligners look similar to a retainer or a night guard. Each aligner is designed to be worn for about 2 weeks. As you move through each set of aligners, your teeth will become straighter and more evenly aligned.

What to Expect

The ClearCorrect Treatment Process

During your orthodontic consultation, Dr. Enaya will perform a comprehensive oral exam to determine if you’re a good candidate for ClearCorrect. If you’re approved, he will take digital impressions and images of your teeth, which will be sent to the team at ClearCorrect.

Dr. Enaya will work closely with the ClearCorrect team to develop your personalized treatment plan. Then, your first several sets of aligners will be sent to our office. Each set is usually worn for 20-22+ hours per day, and you’ll switch to a new set of aligners about every 2 weeks. Every 4-6 weeks, you’ll come to our office for a quick checkup and to get your next several sets of aligners.

Most patients require somewhere between 20-24 sets of aligners for treatment, so the average treatment time for ClearCorrect is about a year. This may vary based on your particular case.

Why Choose Clear Aligners?

The Benefits of ClearCorrect

ClearCorrect treatment has a number of great benefits. First, it’s faster than braces, which usually require at least 12-18 months of treatment. ClearCorrect is also completely invisible when worn, and won’t affect your speech or appearance. This makes it a more subtle orthodontic option for patients who are appearance-conscious.

ClearCorrect is also more comfortable than braces. It delivers even, gentle pressure to shift your teeth and has no metal components like brackets and wires that could irritate your mouth.

You can also remove ClearCorrect to eat, drink, brush, and floss. This means there are no dietary restrictions and you can take excellent care of your teeth and gums throughout the treatment process.

Know Your Options

Am I a Good Candidate for ClearCorrect?

If you have orthodontic issues such as minor gaps, slightly crooked or crowded teeth, or an uneven smile, ClearCorrect may be right for you. However, ClearCorrect may not be suitable for treating major orthodontic issues like a misaligned bite and extremely crooked teeth. Traditional braces are typically a better choice for these more complex issues. To see if you’re a candidate, contact the team at The Grove Family Dental for a consultation today! Or don't hesitate to stop by our office located at 10043 Bruceville Road, Unit 160 Elk Grove, CA 95757.
