Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening uses a special category of chemicals called “peroxides.” These compounds, such as carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide, react strongly to the presence of organic stains on the tooth enamel. Upon contact, the whitener “bleaches” the stain away and restores the natural white appearance of your teeth. 

We offer both in-office whitening and take-home whitening trays. During in-office whitening, Dr. Enaya will use a powerful whitener and a UV light to boost your smile up to 5-10 shades in a single appointment.

Take-home whitening is a bit different. You’ll come in to have a set of custom-fitted plastic whitening trays made. Then, you’ll use a set of at-home whitening products to improve the brightness of your smile from the comfort of your own home.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored composite material to reshape and improve the appearance of your teeth. This composite material is applied directly to the tooth once it’s been roughened with a mild acid. Dr. Enaya will use special tools to shape, harden, and sculpt the composite material to correct flaws like stained teeth, chips in your teeth, gaps between teeth and more. This leaves you with a beautiful, picture-perfect smile.

Shaping & Contouring (Enameloplasty)

This treatment is often used with dental bonding, but can also be done on its own. To shape and contour your teeth, Dr. Enaya will use a special tool to gently buff away a thin layer of enamel from one or more teeth. This can be used to treat pointed or uneven teeth, to smooth out tiny chips, and to enhance the overall appearance of your smile. 

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are wafer-thin shells that are designed to look and feel just like natural teeth and fit over your natural teeth to cover up stains, uneven teeth, gaps in your smile, and more. The process takes two appointments.

At your first appointment, a small amount of your enamel will be removed to prepare for veneers, and Dr. Enaya will take impressions of your teeth. This information is sent to a dental lab that will manufacture your permanent porcelain veneers. You’ll go home wearing a set of temporary veneers to protect your teeth. 

Once your permanent veneers have been made, you’ll come back to The Grove Family Dental. This usually takes a couple of weeks. Then, Dr. Enaya will check the fit of your veneers and bond them into place permanently.
